Kole Fredrick Adelalu is visiting the Leebens-Mack Lab from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile–Ife, Nigeria. Kole received is doctoral degree from Wuhan Botanical Garden,Chinese Academy of Sciences, Moshan, Wuchang, Wuhan, P.R.China.

Kole is generally interested in phylogenomics, and he is currently conducting research on the evolution of dioecy and sex determination in the watermelon relative, Citrullus naudinianus
